Refund Policy
Effective date: 22nd January, 2021
This Refund Policy explains when Hosticko provides refunds and when refunds are not available.
This policy applies to purchases made on hosticko.com
and through our Client Portal at client.hosticko.com.
1) Currency & Payment Method
- All charges are processed in USD.
- Payments are processed via Stripe only.
- Approved refunds are issued back to the original payment method where possible.
2) 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee (Shared Hosting Only)
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for first-time purchases of shared hosting only:
cPanel Shared Hosting and DirectAdmin Shared Hosting.
This guarantee does NOT apply to:
- VPS servers or Dedicated servers (including any setup, management, or provisioning fees).
- Domain registrations, renewals, or transfers once processed (non-refundable).
- SSL certificates once issued (non-refundable).
- Third-party licenses or add-ons once provisioned/activated (e.g., control panel licenses, software licenses).
- Any one-time services (if added in future), custom work, or manual assistance outside standard support.
- Abuse-related suspensions/terminations (see Section 6).
3) No Refunds for Add Funds / Wallet Credits
Payments made to an “Add Funds” invoice (wallet/balance top-up) are strictly non-refundable.
Once funds are credited to your account balance, they cannot be reversed, withdrawn, or refunded.
4) After 30 Days & Pro-Rata Refunds
Customer-initiated cancellations: After the 30-day period, we generally do not provide cash refunds for unused time on prepaid services,
unless required by applicable law.
If Hosticko terminates without cause: If we terminate a paid shared hosting service without cause (i.e., not due to your breach, abuse, fraud, or non-payment),
we will provide a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of the hosting service term.
5) Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
If you file a chargeback, payment dispute, or unauthorized transaction claim with your bank or card provider:
- We may suspend your Services and Account access immediately to prevent further loss or abuse.
- Any reactivation may require that the dispute is withdrawn and/or the outstanding balance (and any dispute fees) is paid in full.
- Chargebacks do not override this Refund Policy and may result in permanent service refusal where appropriate.
6) No Refunds for Abuse, Fraud, or Policy Violations
We do not provide refunds if Services are suspended or terminated due to abuse, fraud, illegal activity, or violations of our Terms,
including (without limitation) spam, phishing, malware distribution, hacking attempts, and resource abuse that impacts platform stability.
7) Domains, SSL, and Third-Party Items
Domains are non-refundable once registered. Domain registrations are subject to registry/registrar rules and pricing.
SSL certificates are non-refundable once issued.
Third-party licenses/add-ons are non-refundable once provisioned.
8) Free Domain Promotions (If Offered)
We do not currently offer free domain promotions. However, if a promotion is offered in the future and a domain is included with a hosting plan,
then if you request a hosting refund under the money-back guarantee:
- the standard domain price and any non-refundable registrar costs may be deducted from the refund; and
- you may keep the domain for the remainder of its registration term (where already registered).
9) How to Request a Refund
To request a refund (where eligible), submit a ticket through the Client Portal:
https://client.hosticko.com.
Please include your service/order details and the reason for the request. We may ask for identity/account verification to prevent fraud.
10) Refund Processing Time
If approved, we process refunds as soon as reasonably possible. Actual posting time depends on Stripe and your bank/card issuer.
